DAILY POST: UDF Politician’s vehicle BURNT DOWN in Shinyalu, Western Kenya
The Kenyan DAILY POST County News 03:00

Mr. Kizito’s Range Rover is said to have been set ablaze by a rowdy mob at Lukango in Shihuli, Kakamega, on Monday at about 1am after the group of his rival accused him of driving around the constituency at night bribing voters.
The aspirant who was accompanied by his driver and two supporters is said to have been driving from a meeting with his polling agents when they ran into the supporters of the rival candidate.
In the heated confrontation, the rival’s supporters blocked the way and smashed the windscreen and set the vehicle ablaze.
While speaking to the press, the former Shinyalu MP said he had gone to meet the agents to pay their allowances and make arrangements for their travel to polling centers.
Kakamega police boss Charles Kinyua said Mr. Kizito was slightly injured and fled into a nearby bush. He added that he is safe and has since recorded a statement with the police.
Investigations are underway to arrest the group of men.
